The Off-Script Sales Playbook
Stop freezing when a sales conversation goes off-script.
You do not need another list of sales scripts. You need a way to tell what the buyer actually means, what just changed in the conversation, and what to do next.

Built for salespeople who have to think on their feet.

The problem isn’t always that you don’t know what to say.
- “That’s too expensive.”
- “Just send me an email.”
- “We already have someone.”
- “I need to think about it.”
- “Not interested.”
- “Can you just show me the demo?”
- “I need to talk to my boss.”
The same sentence can mean completely different things.
A salesperson who reacts to the words alone can easily make the wrong move. The playbook is about diagnosing what is actually happening before you respond.

Pause → Name → Split → Move
When the call leaves the script, stop filling the silence. Name the turn you just heard. Split what it might mean. Then make one deliberate move — pursue, reshape the conversation, or exit — instead of reacting to the wording.
Pursue
The signal is useful. Stay with it and go deeper.
Reshape
You are answering the wrong problem. Change the frame.
Exit
This is not a conversation worth forcing. Leave it clean.
Here’s what happens when a prospect says “it’s too expensive.”
Most reps hear a price objection and either discount, defend, or pile on features. Those are three different moves. Only one of them fits the actual problem — and you cannot tell which from the sentence alone.
It might be
Unclear value
They have not felt the cost of the problem yet. More features will not fix that.
It might be
A real constraint
The money or the timing is actually limited. Pushing harder only creates resistance.
It might be
A comparison
They are measuring you against something else, and you do not know the standard yet.
It might be
A negotiation
They may want the thing and are testing whether the price moves.
It might be
Unfinished discovery
You priced a solution before the problem was clear enough to justify it.
The playbook’s move is to pause, name what you heard, and split those possibilities before you answer. One clarifying question is often the whole response. The rest of the book applies that same idea to stalls, brush-offs, competitors, and “send me an email.”
Inside the playbook
What you are buying
A digital field manual: a system for live sales conversations, plus a 7-day practice challenge and the short reference tools that belong with it. Page-level previews are not on this page yet — the finished PDF is not in the site files.
01
The conversation operating system
Recognize what is happening, diagnose it, then choose the next move instead of reciting a line.
02
Pause → Name → Split → Move
A short sequence for the moment the call stops matching the script.
03
Opening and cold calls
The first minute, when you have not earned the right to pitch.
04
Discovery, diagnosis, and qualification
How to tell whether you understand the buyer or only heard a sentence.
05
Objections and resistance
What to do when the buyer pushes back, stalls, or tries to end the call.
06
Price and commercial pressure
Value, budget, comparison, and trade — treated as different problems.
07
Commitment
How a conversation becomes a next step without a forced close.
08
Stalled deals and momentum
How to recover a conversation that went quiet without restarting from zero.
09
Performing under pressure
What to do with your own freeze, rush, or urge to fill the silence.
10
The 7-day sales pressure challenge
A progressive practice sequence so the ideas get used, not only read.
11
Field cards and worksheets
Short references for live situations. Included as part of the playbook, not a separate product.
This isn’t an ebook you read once and forget.
Interior pages are not shown below. These are placeholders until the final PDF can be previewed. They are not sample pages from the book.
Most sales training stops at knowing.
Typical content
Read → Understand → Forget
A tip list you agree with, then lose the moment a buyer interrupts you.
This playbook
Learn → Apply → Practice → Review → Retry → Use it on a real call
The 7-day challenge exists so the framework gets rehearsed before you need it live.
After the playbook
Knowing it isn’t the same as doing it.
The playbook gives you the framework. Practice is where you find out whether you can use it when a buyer pushes back. SalesPulse is a separate product: realistic voice practice with AI buyers. Buying this playbook does not include a SalesPulse subscription.
01
Playbook
Learn the system for off-script moments.
02
SalesPulse
Practice cold calls, discovery, objections, follow-ups, and meetings out loud.
03
A real call
Use the same sequence when it is no longer a drill.
Built for salespeople who have to think on their feet.
SDRs and BDRs
You live on first conversations and cannot pause the call to look up a script.
Account executives
Discovery, price, and commitment happen in the same week, often on the same call.
Founders selling
You are the product and the salesperson. There is no enablement team in the room.
Account managers
Renewals, expansions, and hard news still require a live conversation.
Less useful if your selling almost never happens in a live conversation — for example, if the motion is almost entirely forms, outbound email sequences, or self-serve checkout with no call.

Straight answers
- What exactly do I get?
- A one-time digital playbook covering the conversation system, the situations listed above, a 7-day practice challenge, and the field cards and worksheets that are part of that manual. You do not get a SalesPulse subscription with this purchase.
- Is this a course?
- No. It is a field manual you can use immediately, with a short practice challenge — not a video cohort or a login-gated curriculum.
- Is this just sales scripts?
- No. The point is what to do when a script no longer fits: diagnose the turn, then choose pursue, reshape, or exit.
- Who is this for?
- People who sell in live conversations: SDRs, AEs, founders, and account managers who get interrupted, objected to, or stalled.
- Will this work for my type of sales?
- If your work includes real-time calls or meetings, the system applies. If you almost never speak to a buyer live, it will feel abstract.
- How does SalesPulse fit?
- SalesPulse is the practice product: voice simulations and drills with AI buyers. It is optional and billed separately. The playbook does not require it.
- Is this a subscription?
- No. $97 is a one-time payment for the digital playbook.
- How do I receive it?
- The intended delivery is instant digital access after payment. Checkout is not connected on this build until a payment link is configured.
- What is the refund policy?
- Published terms currently cover SalesPulse subscriptions and state that those payments are final except where the law requires otherwise. A separate written refund policy for this playbook has not been published. Read the terms before you pay.
- Do I need SalesPulse to use the playbook?
- No. The manual stands on its own.
Know what to do when the conversation stops going to plan.
Get the Off-Script Sales Playbook and start working the situations that normally throw you off.
